Wandoo stave drum shell, Hardness 15kN

Handmade Wandoo stave snare drum shell. Wandoo, or Western Australian White Gum (Eucalyptus wandoo), is an exceptionally rare and dense Western Australian Hardwood prized for its unparalleled strength, stunning grain, and heartwood colours ranging from pale blonde to warm golden/reddish-brown hues.
Extreme Density: Wandoo is considered one of Australia's hardest timbers, boasting a colossal Janka hardness rating of 15,000 Newtons (N)—nearly twice as hard as Jarrah.
This density results in a shell of maximum stability, translating every stroke into pure energy.
Tight, Focused Sound: The shell delivers an incredibly tight, focused, and articulate sound with exceptional clarity. It features a bright attack and pronounced high-end that effortlessly cuts through the densest mix, making it the perfect choice for drummers who crave precision and speed.
Superior 30-Stave Construction for Optimal Sound & Stability: Precision Stave Build: Crafted using the solid stave method, this shell maximises Wandoo’s natural resonance, resulting in a dry, powerful sustain and a higher, more focused fundamental pitch.
This shell is the ideal foundation for a custom snare drum build for professional drummers seeking a world-class instrument with a unique voice, high-volume capacity, and the legendary toughness of Wandoo wood.
